DMCA Notice & Takedown Policy

Shasilo respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (the “DMCA”), we will respond promptly to claims of copyright infringement that are reported to our designated copyright agent identified below.

If you are a copyright owner, or authorized to act on behalf of one, and you believe that material available on our website (https://www.shasilo.com) infringes your copyright, you may submit a written notification under the DMCA by providing our copyright agent with the information described below.

Filing a DMCA Notice of Infringement

To be effective, your notification of claimed infringement must be a written communication that includes substantially the following:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner, or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple works are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works.
  3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity, and information reasonably sufficient to allow us to locate the material — for example, the URL(s) of the specific product page(s) or image(s) in question.
  4. Your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address so that we may contact you.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notification is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the copyright owner’s behalf.

Please note that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing may be subject to liability.

Designated Copyright Agent

Please send DMCA notices to our designated agent:

Our Response

Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice, we will:

  • Remove or disable access to the material identified in the notice;
  • Make a reasonable effort to notify the user who posted or submitted the affected material; and
  • Take reasonable steps to document the notice for our records.

Counter-Notification

If you believe that material you submitted was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a written counter-notification to our designated agent containing the following:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled, and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or disabled.
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in the district where your address is located (or, if your address is outside the United States, the judicial district in which Shasilo is located), and that you will accept service of process from the party who filed the original DMCA notice or their agent.

After we receive a valid counter-notification, we may restore the removed material in not less than ten (10) and not more than fourteen (14) business days, unless the original complaining party notifies us that they have filed a court action to restrain the allegedly infringing activity.

Repeat Infringers

In appropriate circumstances and at our discretion, Shasilo will remove and/or disable access to material from users who are determined to be repeat infringers, and may take additional action where warranted.
